A day in Brussels
Travel blog part 2
This
morning we traveled back to Brussels and checked in to our new room in the
outskirts, it´s a small apartment and the windows are facing a small, old alley.
If we look down on the street, we often see cats and if we look up we can see
birds sitting on the power lines.
Avenue
Louise
We
started the day of by walking down on one of the most famous streets in Brussels,
Avenue Louise, the whole street was filled with small street markets,
clothing shops and small, sweet cafes. We ended up trying Belgium’s famous French
fries with mayonnaise and they were as delicious as told. After that we went shopping
for a bit and just walking around and adoring the surrounding, around one or
two pm we were craving for lunch, so we hopped in on a restaurant because that
one smelled sweet. In there we both ordered their most popular waffles and they
tasted like heaven.
Finally,
we went to see the Antonium in the north part of Brussels, a sculpture
over a hundred meter high. Truly close by is a restaurant and a famous lookout
point over big parts of Brussels where we ate dinner and looked at the sunset.
